Stay.
-Fragments
of Memories-
Stay. -Fragments of Memories- was the third novel game release from APPLE Project and the second game we attempted to port and archive on eien. On this page we give a more detailed description of the project and more relevant downloads. For a more summarized description and download section please see our APPLE Project archival page.
Releases and Description
There are, to our knowledge, two different releases: APL-004 and APL-004A. The former was released on July 16th, 2002, and the latter on August 1st, 2002. The packaging is slightly different between the two releases, with the latter having the the product code to “APL-004A.” Besides the product code, it seems like they have forgotten to update the packing; as the release date is still the release date of the first release.
The game itself contains additional short stories focusing on about Mizuka, Misaki, and Akane from Tactics’ “ONE. “輝く季節へ.” The storylines touch on how the events of the source material impacted the girls. It also touches on topics like loss and trauma.
Rips, Assets, and eien Editions
At eien we have a physical copy of the first release. The rips have been created using “CloneCD,” as this ensures the multisession format is maintained for proper archival. Since we do not own a copy of the later release, APL-004A, we instead relied on Sep7’s copy on archive.com for the rips and scans of that game.
To run our rips, please either burn the image to a CD, for example with CloneCD, or mount the files using something like DAEMON Tools. Installation is likely to require an older OS, we used Windows 98. Lastly, for the audio to work correctly, only the former option with a burned physical CD will work.
Our eien edition is a modern port which we have created based on the assets from the second and later edition, and does not require any additional software and is fully “plug and play.” It also uses ONScripter-en instead of NScripter to provide a whole host of new features. We suggest you use this edition if you want to simply enjoy the game with modern quality of life enhancements. The game contains both languages and the language can be switched on demand.
Downloads
Archival, Porting, and Localization effort
As previously mentioned, we have a physical copy of the first game. The relevant assets are downloadable above and to our understanding we have all versions. We consider archival to be complete. However, we are looking to also own a personal copy of the later release. On request, we can provide new rips and scans of the first game (up to 1200x1200DPI).
The game has a completed port. This port uses a modern version of ONScripter-en and uses lossless WAV rips for the music. We have a full translation of the game in English, which is based on APL-004A. We believe this work to be fully completed with all assets localized and a whole range of new quality of life features.

Combo and Fujoneko assisted with creating localized assets, and Combo has also edited the script of the game. Kotomi has provided the installer. Sep7, UGUU, and RyanTheArchivist have all volunteered to provide quality control by checking the script and playtesting.
